Philip is Venture’s Regional Vice President of the Southeast & South Central regions. His broad and unique insurance background has made him an integral member of Venture and a great resource to agents. Philip assists with carrier, reinsurance and intermediary discussions as well as builds agent and broker relationships.
He started his career as an account executive for alternative risk specialist and Bermuda-based Mutual Risk Management. He later served as a property treaty reinsurance underwriter for QBE, and as a reinsurance broker for reinsurance intermediary, Rattner McKenzie, both in their London offices.
Philip earned bachelor’s degrees in marketing and finance from Northeastern University, received an AAI (Accredited Advisor in Insurance) designation through the Chubb School, and completed the CIAB’s Executive Leadership Program at Wharton. He is a licensed insurance agent in Pennsylvania, and active with the AAMGA, Target Markets, NAPSLO and PLUS insurance trade associations.
