Pool Drain Covers Recalled

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, in cooperation with eight private firms, has announced two recalls of pool and spa drain covers. You should stop using recalled products immediately unless otherwise instructed.

The pool and in-ground spa drain covers have been recalled because they were incorrectly rated to handle the flow of water through the cover, which could pose a possible entrapment hazard to swimmers and bathers.

If your club or resort has a pool and is using one of the recalled pool or spa drain covers, you should immediately contact the manufacturer to receive a replacement or retrofit, depending on their make and model.
